A lot has changed here.

Hello. I was a member of the old forums. I'm still a caregiver to my wife, though I barely seem adequate to the task, even after almost 7 years. I keep trying, though. Its just so hard. Watching my wife in pain, and trying to keep up with stuff. I will be back again to post more.

Hi Mike,
Hi Mike, It is a lot different but the old forum software was pretty much unsupported and being spammed heavily. Many of us are making the switch. I hope things are going well with your wife.
Is there another forum with
Is there another forum with different software that I can check out?
Is there an older forum or
Is there an older forum or something that actually has posts on it? Or does anyone know of an active online community for Alzheimers such as they have online for ALS? I see the ALS forum has lots of good tips on it. I often wonder why I don't see an active online community for Alzheimers. If anyone can direct me to one I would appreciate it.

In essence NFCA is starting over. The old website no longer exists. There is a promise that the posts from the old forum will be transferred here. As for ALS, contact the Alzheimer's Organization at www.alz.org for either a support group in your community or an online forum. xoxoxo

It's so good to see some of the folks from the previous website. I'm so happy to have found you all with Ming's help.
At some point of time that

I just realized that we have
I just realized that we have no *signatures* below our names, on this new forum. They are helpful when you're trying to remember who is caring for whom, and the ailments/disease process(es) involved.
Gaby,
Gaby, We can make a text file and paste it in. Also the pictures are nice, How do you like my disguise for my picture. :) Tired Dave Former Caregiver for my Wife Passed Away 5/26/2011
Dave,
Dave, I like your picture. I actually used a real picture of myself. Pictures (or avatars) was one thing that was missing at the old website.
sure thing. Its hard and
sure thing. Its hard and lonely sometimes. I can't discuss some things with my wife if they bother me, since she isn't well enough to handle the stress without physical symptoms occurring.
