A lot has changed here.

Hello. I was a member of the old forums. I'm still a caregiver to my wife, though I barely seem adequate to the task, even after almost 7 years. I keep trying, though. Its just so hard. Watching my wife in pain, and trying to keep up with stuff. I will be back again to post more.

Hi Mike, It is a lot different but the old forum software was pretty much unsupported and being spammed heavily. Many of us are making the switch. I hope things are going well with your wife.

Is there an older forum or
Is there an older forum or something that actually has posts on it? Or does anyone know of an active online community for Alzheimers such as they have online for ALS? I see the ALS forum has lots of good tips on it. I often wonder why I don't see an active online community for Alzheimers. If anyone can direct me to one I would appreciate it.

In essence NFCA is starting over. The old website no longer exists. There is a promise that the posts from the old forum will be transferred here. As for ALS, contact the Alzheimer's Organization at www.alz.org for either a support group in your community or an online forum. xoxoxo

I just realized that we have no *signatures* below our names, on this new forum. They are helpful when you're trying to remember who is caring for whom, and the ailments/disease process(es) involved.

Mike-- I know this is an old post of yours and you may not be on this forum any more--but I can tell you are a good man from reading some fo your posts. I am inspired by your efforts.
