We offer a product for caregivers (don't worry not a product plug) and I am curious to see some of the most popular questions and concerns first time caregivers have. What information did you have to find out the hard way that would have been useful prior to providing care?

I've just recently become a cancer spouse & went from "aerospace machinist" to "post-surgical cancer caregiver".
My first questions were:
What is going to be expected of me? What is my role in this?
What do I need to do? (Apply for FMLA, gather all the medical info, fill out info release forms for medical providers, find out about financial info, etc)
What do I need to know? (Laws, personal info, etc)
Where can I find help? (Professional resources as well as family & friends)
How am I supposed to keep all this stuff straight? (Apps, tips & ideas)
