1.Assess your home-Identify the objects that will cause injuries to the person and try to avoid it.
2.Lock the hazardous areas-Prevent access to the hazardous areas such as kitchen stairs etc…
3.Keep a list of emergency phone numbers and addresses of hospitals police station etc….
4.Ensure that the smoke detectors carbon monoxide sensors and fire detectors are working properly.
5.Install deadbolts in higher or lower positions which cannot be accessed by the patient.
6.Install good lightings in the walkways.
7.Remove weapons such as knives guns etc from accessible places.
8.Support the needs of the person.
