Cancer

My son was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma in 2003. The disease moved from place to place in his body, Liver, pancreas, intestines and brain. Each new cancer put us in a new surgery and a new treatment. Each having there own side effects. While travelling this road, I found out that I have AML. Acute Myalogous Leukemia. My cancer has been easy to deal with. I choose to forego the traditional 7/3 induction therapy and go with a chemotherapy instead. This allowed me to help Mark, my son as much as possible. Now it has been two years since my diagnosis. Even though he is 44 I have given up my life to care for him. I am not resentful, just tired and a bit hopless. Is this all there is for us? Hospitals, doctors, medication, and sickness. I have an amazing husband. We try to make a life of our own without feeling guilty because we did not include Mark. He needs people so much. He lives alone . Most of his friends have no idea how to help him. They have abandoned him.

Wish List:
I wish he could enjoy the life he has left.
