I have been a caregiver to my 94 yo mother for about 5 years. Needless to tell you that I kissed my life, both love and social, goodbye. I am 67 and a single male. I have been quite lucky and am able to hire in home nurses to take care of her. She has become highly delusional. Last night she went to the basement, a dangerous walk for a healthy person, to turn off the water because of the mighty storm (it was clear and cloudless.) So, I am thinking that it might be time for me to break my promise and put her into care. What do you guys think?
