Hi all, This is my first post here and I’m feeling like I lost my life. My mother-in-law who has suffered from dementia for more than 6 months is also showing some symptoms of mental illness. She is refusing to have her medicines and became aggressive at times. I don’t know how to handle her. Now she is getting treatment from Dr.Eliana Cohen, an expert psychologist in Toronto and she told us to take care of her all the time. Since I have to go to work I’m not able to look after her. I’m also afraid of her behavior. She gets violent, frequently. What am I supposed to do? Any thoughts?
