CAN’s Statement on the Executive Order on the International Pricing Index Model
Washington, DC, July 24, 2020 --- Caregiver Action Network's CEO, John Schall, released the following statement in response to the Trump Administrations's Executive Order on the International Pricing Index (IPI) Model:
“Caregiver Action Network (CAN) represents the tens of millions of family caregivers across the country who care for the most vulnerable and sickest patients. In order to ensure optimal care for their loved ones, family caregivers rely on access to affordable treatment and therapies for patients. The Trump administration’s proposed Executive Order on the International Pricing Index Model would seriously limit treatment options and increase access barriers for America’s sickest patients and make it practically impossible to provide the best possible care. As family caregivers, our first priority will always be the health and safety of our loved ones. America’s family caregivers ask that the Administration put the health of patients first and abandon this dangerous proposal.”
