My name is Angie. I am new to CAN, I am a mental health provider and work full time from home. I also take care of my mother at home. I am looking for support from a group of people that understand what is likely to care for someone daily.

There can be alot of options for you when it comes to support groups deopending on specific things you're looking for with a support group (example: do you want to find an in-person support group or do you prefer one that's virtual? are you looking for a general caregivers support group or one that is for caregivers of loved ones with a specific disease or condition?) and your location. I'd suggest reaching out to the Caregiver Help Desk to help you explore your options. They can be reached via toll-free number at (855)227-3640 or via chat on our website by clicking the orange "Help Me" button on the bottom right of your screen. Their hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 7PM Eastern, but you'll be able to leave a voicemail or send your chat message as an e-mail if you reach out after hours. The folks at the Help Desk are wonderful at getting back to you within a business day or two.
