Hi all-
I am a married 59-year-old woman who is responsible for the care of my 92-year-old mother, who resides in a modest cottage situated 20 yards away from my residence. I have been her only supporter for the past decade. The nearest of my four sisters is located approximately two hours away, while the remaining three are quite distant. Prior to the past three years, my mother was largely self-reliant; I was primarily responsible for daily check-ins, transportation to doctor's appointments, and resolving household issues. In contrast, her condition has deteriorated considerably over the past few years, and the caregiving responsibilities have grown due to her frequent falls and current frailty. Having many inquiries for everyone present, I express my gratitude for being in this room.
