My loved one has life-long bipolar disease, complicated in recent years by loss of memory, not yet diagnosed as Alzheimer's or other dementia. He also has Parkinsonism (his neurologist is careful to say it is not Parkinson's Disease), and last January had a mild stroke that made him weaker and more likely to fall. I have more resources (medical, financial, and by training) than most people, so I have just been coping. I finally realized that I really am a caretaker and have been doing everything necessary to keep us going. We don't fit into any easy category: stroke was probably the last straw, but isn't the major disability, and he has both mental and physical issues.
I would love to find a Zoom group for support. I did find one, but it conflicts with my home group for Al-Anon Family Groups (I grew up in an alcoholic home; neither of us drinks). It doesn't help that I am also disabled physically, though less than he, and it does help that I am still mentally capable.
